Gajendra Pratap Singh Gurjar, a 28-year-old driver, was arrested for culpable homicide after he collided with a scooter in Indore, resulting in the deaths of two women, Diksha Jadon (25) and Lakshmi Tomar (24). The accident occurred when Gurjar, who was reportedly rushing to deliver a birthday cake, drove his BMW at high speed in the wrong direction around 11:30 p.m. on September 14. Eyewitnesses noted that the impact threw the women from their scooter, leading to critical injuries that ultimately proved fatal despite their hospitalization. The police confirmed that Gurjar fled the scene but was tracked down through CCTV footage, and he is now facing multiple charges including causing death by negligence and rash driving. Both victims were returning from a fair, with Tomar being the sole provider for her family following her father's death. Gurjar had recently purchased the BMW second-hand and works at a BPO in Indore.
