Two young Indian Army officers and their female friends were attacked by a group of armed men near Jam Gate, Madhya Pradesh, early Wednesday morning during a night drive, resulting in the gang-rape of one woman and injuries to the officers. The attackers, armed with pistols, knives, and sticks, surrounded their car and demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. One officer managed to inform his superiors, leading to police intervention. Two suspects have been arrested, and a manhunt is underway for the remaining assailants. Medical examinations confirmed the rape and injuries sustained by the victims.
