Singapore Budget 2025 Offers SG60 Vouchers, 60% Tax Rebate

In a bid to celebrate Singapore's 60th anniversary, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced in the 2025 Budget a series of financial support measures, including SG60 vouchers worth S$600 for citizens aged 21 to 59 and S$800 for seniors aged 60 and above. Approximately three million adults will benefit from these vouchers, which can be used at participating merchants and supermarkets. Additionally, a 60% personal income tax rebate, capped at S$200, will be granted automatically to all tax residents for the income earned in 2024. Households will also receive up to S$760 in U-Save rebates to help with rising utility costs, with disbursements planned for April and October 2025. The overall financial support package aims to exceed S$3 billion, highlighting the government's commitment to easing the financial burden on citizens. Wong emphasized that these initiatives recognize the contributions of all Singaporeans to the nation’s progress over the last six decades.
