Naveen Reddy, a 26-year-old bouncer in Bengaluru, was arrested on August 19 for damaging a car during a road rage incident on Sarjapura Main Road. The altercation began when Soumyashankar, the driver, suddenly braked without signaling, causing Reddy to collide with the rear of the car. Following the crash, Reddy pursued Soumyashankar, confronted him, and smashed the car's windshield with a stone and broke its wiper, despite pleas from the driver about the presence of his wife and nine-month-old child in the vehicle. Witnesses alerted the police, who charged Reddy with several offenses, including wrongful restraint and criminal intimidation. This incident highlights ongoing issues of road rage in Bengaluru, where aggressive confrontations have become increasingly common. Reddy has since been released on station bail but has not yet filed a complaint regarding the initial collision.
