Millers Plead Guilty in Fatal Hamptons Fire

Peter Miller, 56, and his wife Pamela, 55, have pleaded guilty to charges related to a 2022 fire at their Hamptons vacation rental that killed sisters Jillian and Lindsay Wiener. The fire, which started in an illegal outdoor kitchen, was exacerbated by shoddy electrical work and a lack of functional smoke detectors. The sisters were trapped and unable to escape, despite their father's attempts to rescue them. Peter Miller admitted to performing the unsafe wiring himself without inspection, and Pamela acknowledged awareness of the illegal setup. The couple still faces numerous additional charges related to building code violations. Sentencing is scheduled for November 7, 2024.
