IDF Kills Senior Islamic Jihad Commanders in Gaza, Lebanon Strikes

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet have conducted targeted airstrikes killing prominent terror operatives linked with Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other militant groups. Muhammad Shoaib, a key figure in smuggling weapons from Iran to Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank, was killed in southern Lebanon, disrupting terror operations and weaponization capabilities. In Gaza, Fadl Abu al-Ata, commander of the Islamic Jihad’s Shejaiya sector and a coordinator of numerous attacks against Israeli forces, was killed; he had infiltrated Israel during the October 7, 2023 onslaught and was promoted to lead the regional unit during the war. Another strike eliminated Hamed Kamel Abd al-Aziz Iyad, an explosives expert responsible for planning attacks on Israeli troops. These targeted killings are part of Israel's ongoing campaign to neutralize senior Islamic Jihad operatives involved in orchestrating terror attacks and cross-border incursions. The IDF emphasized the precision of these strikes to minimize civilian casualties while continuing operations against threats to Israeli civilians and soldiers.
