NBC Plans 'Wicked: One Wonderful Night' Musical Special Featuring Broadway Stars

NBC is set to air a special musical event titled "Wicked: One Wonderful Night" on November 6, ahead of the November 21 theatrical release of the film "Wicked: For Good." The two-hour special, filmed at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles transformed into an Emerald City-inspired set, will feature performances by stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and others, accompanied by a 37-piece live orchestra led by Stephen Oremus. The event includes reimagined musical arrangements, dance numbers choreographed by Christopher Scott, behind-the-scenes moments, cast interviews, and world premiere clips from the upcoming film, including two new original songs by composer Stephen Schwartz. Produced by Fulwell Entertainment with executive producers Ben Winston and Raj Kapoor, the special will also feature appearances by director Jon M. Chu and surprise guests. It will air on NBC and be available to stream on Peacock the following day.
