Wolves, Brighton Draw 1-1 at Molineux

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion drew 1-1 at Molineux. An early own goal by Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen put Wolves ahead, but Jan Paul van Hecke headed a late 86th-minute equaliser from a set piece to salvage a point for Brighton. Brighton dominated possession and created the clearer chances but only converted late, prompting a rapturous reaction from travelling fans. Wolves manager Vitor Pereira was sent off during the match; his assistant Luis Miguel apologised for Pereira’s reaction and said Pereira will apologise in due course.
