TikTok Influencer Marlena Velez Arrested for Shoplifting

Marlena Velez, a TikTok influencer with over 360,000 followers, has been arrested for the second time for allegedly shoplifting from the same Target store in Cape Coral, Florida. Initially arrested on October 30 for stealing items worth $500.32, Velez was caught again on November 20 for a similar theft of goods valued at $225, using false barcodes at self-checkout to underpay for the items. Police identified Velez through surveillance footage and her social media posts, including a matching phone wallpaper and outfit from her TikTok videos. Following her latest arrest, she was booked into Lee County Jail and released on a $500 bond, with a court appearance scheduled for December 10. The thefts were reported by Target's loss prevention team and confirmed by police through social media sleuthing.
