Modi to Campaign in Jammu on September 14
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jammu on September 14 to bolster BJP's campaign efforts ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. The Congress has announced its third list of 19 candidates, including Chaudhary Lal Singh and Neeraj Kundan, and has formed an alliance with the National Conference. The BJP released its sixth list of candidates, notably dropping senior leader Kavinder Gupta and fielding new faces like Vikram Randhawa and Bharat Bhushan. Polling in Jammu and Kashmir is scheduled for September 18, 25, and October 1, with vote counting on October 8. Discussions for an AAP-Congress alliance in Haryana continue as BJP claims Congress has conceded defeat by seeking alliances.
