Kidman Opens and Closes Vogue World; Proceeds Aid Fund
Vogue World: Hollywood took place Oct. 26 at Paramount Studios as a Baz Luhrmann–directed cinematic spectacle organized into seven Hollywood‑themed acts, with musical performances (including Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams), tributes to filmmakers such as Diane Keaton, and collaborations including Ruth E. Carter with Balmain. Nicole Kidman opened and closed the show in a custom black Chanel bustier gown by Matthieu Blazy that paid homage to Rita Hayworth’s Gilda; she walked to “Put the Blame on Mame,” shared behind‑the‑scenes footage with Anna Wintour and Luhrmann, and the look was widely framed as a glamorous post‑split moment. Kidman has filed for divorce from Keith Urban and is now a Chanel global ambassador, and reports say a parenting plan names her the primary residential parent. Kendall Jenner walked in the sequin showgirl corset and top hat from Moulin Rouge!, and the audience included Dakota Johnson, Ayo Edebiri, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett and Betsy Gaghan among other film‑inspired looks. Vogue said ticket proceeds will go to the Entertainment Community Fund to support costume professionals affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
