BJP Accuses US of Destabilizing India

During a press conference, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra alleged that opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, along with certain journalists and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), is collaborating with these foreign forces to undermine India's progress through unfounded allegations. Patra claimed that OCCRP receives significant funding from the US government and billionaire George Soros, which he argued is evidence of a coordinated effort to discredit Modi's administration. The BJP's accusations follow reports linking the Adani Group to corruption, which the party dismissed as baseless. The Congress party has vehemently refuted these claims, with MP Shashi Tharoor labeling them defamatory and a violation of parliamentary norms. This unexpected escalation comes despite the historically strong ties between India and the US, raising concerns about the implications for diplomatic relations.
