Pueblo Officer Fatally Shoots Armed Suspect During Domestic Call

On July 8, Pueblo police officers responded to a domestic disturbance call involving weapons on Glen Royal Drive. Upon arrival, officers encountered a man armed with a gun who was threatening his family members and refused to drop the weapon when ordered. The suspect allegedly pointed the gun at officers, prompting one officer to fire, fatally wounding the man at the scene. No officers or bystanders were injured during the incident. The involved officer has been placed on administrative leave as the 10th Judicial District's Critical Incident Response Team conducts an investigation. The suspect's identity will be released by the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office once confirmed.
