Meijer Opens Three Supercenters in Northeast Ohio

Midwest retailer Meijer Inc. opened three new 159,000-square-foot supercenters in Northeast Ohio on May 8, located in Austintown, Medina, and Richmond Heights. These supercenters offer a wide range of products including grocery staples, fresh produce, bakery, meat, deli, pharmacy, health and beauty care, pet supplies, electronics, apparel, and home goods, with the Austintown location featuring a Meijer Express gas station. This expansion is part of Meijer's broader investment in the region, having opened and remodeled nearly 25 stores in recent years and employing around 13,000 people in Ohio. The new stores incorporate accessibility features such as height-adjustable changing tables and free access to Aira, an app providing navigation assistance for blind and low-vision customers. Digital shopping options, including Shop & Scan and Flashfood apps, as well as home delivery and pickup services, are available at these locations to enhance customer convenience. Each store held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. on opening day, reflecting Meijer's commitment to serving the Northeast Ohio community with value and convenience.
