Coventry City explores transfer options, evaluates signings
Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard acknowledges the need to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window, particularly after losing several key players to injuries. While the club has made inquiries to recall Ryan Howley and Jack Burroughs from their loans, they have yet to secure any new signings. Lampard indicated that his squad is not large enough and emphasized the importance of adding players to compete effectively, especially given that top scorer Haji Wright has been sidelined since November. Although Jamie Paterson is currently training with the team as a free agent, Lampard clarified that there are no discussions for a contract at this time. The club continues to explore both permanent and loan options but has not yet made significant progress in the transfer market. With the deadline approaching, Lampard is hopeful for a more productive second half of January.
