During the Chintan Shivir cum Education Conclave-2024, he instructed elected officials to review school conditions and submit reform proposals by September 15, with all plans due to the Education Department by October 20. The state government aims to finalize this roadmap by November, with implementation starting in early 2025 for a five-year period. Khandu expressed frustration over the poor quality of education despite high government teacher salaries and urged for significant changes, stressing the urgency of adhering to the National Education Policy by 2030. He envisions a future where government schools are the preferred choice for all families, including those of politicians and officials.
