OX2 Secures 472MW Wind Turbine Orders from Nordex in Finland
Swedish renewable energy company OX2 has placed orders for a total of 70 N175/6.X wind turbines from Nordex SE for two wind projects in Finland, totaling 472 megawatts (MW). The projects, Honkakangas and Rajamäki, will feature advanced technology including 162-meter tubular steel towers and cold climate adaptations, with the Honkakangas site also utilizing an anti-icing system. Installation is scheduled for 2026-2027, with commissioning expected in 2027-2028. This marks Nordex's first investment decision in the Nordic region using this turbine variant. OX2 plans to maintain ownership of the wind farms and has secured long-term financing to support the projects. CEO Paul Stormoen emphasized the significance of this investment for OX2's growth as an independent power producer in the renewable energy sector.
