Oscar-Winner Mira Sorvino Joins Broadway's Chicago as Roxie Hart

Broadway's longest-running American musical, Chicago, is welcoming back Rachel Schur as Roxie Hart from August 18 to September 14, 2025, before Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino takes over the role for a limited engagement from September 15 through November 2, 2025. Schur, who has multiple stage and screen credits, expressed excitement about returning to the role, while Sorvino shared that joining Chicago fulfills a lifelong dream to perform in a Broadway musical. Chicago, known for its legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse and iconic songs like “All That Jazz” and “Cell Block Tango,” satirizes how show business and media glamorize criminals, focusing on Roxie Hart's story of murder and media manipulation. Sorvino is making her Broadway debut with this role and brings a notable acting career including an Oscar for Mighty Aphrodite and recent TV roles in Shining Vale and American Crime Story: Impeachment.
