Zeenat Aman Admits to Drug Use on Film Set

Veteran actress Zeenat Aman has recounted a memorable moment from the filming of the iconic song 'Dum Maro Dum' in the 1971 film 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna.' To achieve authenticity for her role as a drug-addicted character, she smoked from chillums provided by a group of hippies rounded up by co-star Dev Anand in Kathmandu. Aman humorously described how, by the end of the shoot, she was 'high as a kite' and unable to return to her hotel, leading crew members to take her to a scenic viewpoint to recover. Her mother was furious upon learning of the incident and scolded the crew, although Aman managed to escape direct reprimand. Reflecting on her experience, she noted the carefree spirit of the 70s and her status as a 'flower child.' Zeenat Aman will soon appear in new projects, including 'The Royals' and 'Bun Tikki.'
