Titans Trade CB Roger McCreary to Rams for Conditional 2026 Draft Picks
The Tennessee Titans traded slot cornerback Roger McCreary to the Los Angeles Rams on Oct. 27 in a conditional 2026 pick swap that nets Tennessee an earlier fifth-round selection while Los Angeles receives one of the Titans’ later sixth-round picks (the Rams also acquired McCreary along with that sixth-rounder). McCreary — a 2022 second-round pick out of Auburn — has played eight games this season (recording 33 tackles, 1.0 sack, two passes defended and one interception) and is in the final year of his rookie contract. Tennessee, 1-7 and amid coaching and roster changes, has been moving veterans for draft capital (having already traded another cornerback, Jarvis Brownlee Jr.) and now faces reduced depth at corner with L’Jarius Sneed on injured reserve. The 5-2 Rams, thin at corner after Ahkello Witherspoon’s collarbone injury, acquired McCreary to bolster their secondary; he is expected to compete for the slot/starting role and provide immediate pass-coverage help. The deal is a pre–trade-deadline move that strengthens Los Angeles’ defensive depth for a potential NFC run while giving Tennessee mid-round draft capital to aid its rebuild.
