Bangladesh Air Force Jet Crashes Into Dhaka School Killing 20, Injuring 171

A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training fighter jet crashed into the Milestone School and College in Dhaka's Uttara neighborhood shortly after takeoff, killing at least 19 people including the pilot and injuring over 100. The crash occurred due to a technical malfunction soon after the aircraft took off from the Bangladesh Air Force Base AK Khandaker, with the pilot attempting to steer the jet away from densely populated areas to reduce casualties. Despite these efforts, the plane crashed into a two-story school building, causing a massive fire and extensive panic among students and staff.
