Fire Breaks Out at Junipero Serra High School

A fire broke out early Wednesday morning at Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, California, starting around 5:35 a.m. The blaze originated in the bleachers or possibly the press box, causing flames to engulf the structure and leading to a partial roof collapse. Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded promptly, nearly extinguishing the fire by 6:10 a.m., with no injuries reported. A portion of Van Ness Avenue was closed due to firefighting operations. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, as aerial footage captured fire trucks working at the scene.
