Queen Elizabeth II's Unique 2006 Range Rover Nears £70,000 Auction at Silverstone

A 2006 Range Rover L322 Supercharged formerly owned and used by Queen Elizabeth II between 2006 and 2008 is set to be auctioned at the Silverstone Festival on August 23, with an estimated value between £50,000 and £70,000. The vehicle is notably the only L322 Range Rover equipped with the Jaguar-derived 4.2-liter Supercharged V8 engine ever owned by the Royal Household and retains unique royal features such as a silver Labrador hood ornament, bespoke side steps, mud flaps, a made-to-measure dog guard, and enhanced internal wiring for security and communications. The Range Rover has about 120,000 miles, is described as being in exemplary condition, and features Sand Oxford leather upholstery with extended Burr Walnut trim, finished in Tonga Green, the Queen's favored color. Rear grab handles were originally fitted to help the Queen enter and exit the vehicle but have since been removed. Rob Hubbard, managing director of Iconic Auctioneers, highlighted the vehicle's rare provenance and anticipated strong collector interest, noting its combination of automotive excellence and historical significance. This auction presents a rare opportunity to own a piece of British royal motoring history.
