NWS Confirms Four Tornadoes Across Southern Wisconsin
On Wednesday, a series of tornadoes struck southern Wisconsin, with the National Weather Service confirming at least four tornadoes, primarily rated EF0. Notable tornadoes included one southwest of Hustisford with winds of 70 mph active for about 14 minutes, and another near Beaver Dam with winds reaching 65 mph affecting cornfields and tree lines. Additional tornadoes were reported near Mazomanie with 80 mph winds and south of Sauk City, also rated EF0 with similar wind speeds and damage to trees and shingles. A separate EF1 tornado near Dodgeville produced winds up to 95 mph, causing damage to trees and outbuildings. The storms prompted tornado warnings across the region, though no injuries or fatalities have been reported so far. Damage assessments remain ongoing, with the National Weather Service continuing to survey affected areas and anticipate further reports.
