Harris County Precinct 4 Deputy Corporal Maher Husseini was fatally shot while on his way to work after a cordial conversation with his alleged murderer, Athir Murady. After the shooting, Murady led police on a 50-mile chase to Galveston, ultimately driving his car into Galveston Bay before being apprehended.
