Marvel’s Thunderbolts Releases on Digital, 4K UHD July 1

Marvel Studios' film Thunderbolts, featuring an ensemble of antiheroes including Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, and Red Guardian, will be available for digital purchase and rental starting July 1 on platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, followed by physical releases on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 29. Directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Kevin Feige, the film presents a darker, emotionally complex narrative that diverges from traditional superhero stories, focusing on a morally ambiguous team caught in a deadly mission orchestrated by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The home release will include substantial bonus content such as deleted scenes, gag reels, behind-the-scenes featurettes, director commentary, and special insights into characters played by Lewis Pullman. Despite its mixed box office performance, earning $381 million worldwide, the film has received praise for its blend of dark themes with humor and its exploration of mental health, with USA TODAY rating it three out of four stars. Collectors will have access to a limited-edition SteelBook with exclusive artwork and a Walmart-exclusive pop-up Blu-ray package featuring 3D designs of key characters. The digital and physical releases aim to give Thunderbolts a renewed audience and appreciation through enhanced viewing experiences with Dolby Vision® and Dolby Atmos® technology.
