Valdez-Galloso Arrested for El Taiger's Homicide

Damián Valdez-Galloso, a 49-year-old man from Hialeah, has been arrested in New York in connection with the fatal shooting of Cuban reggaeton star El Taiger, whose real name was José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar. The artist was found shot in the head inside a black Mercedes SUV in Miami on October 3 and succumbed to his injuries on October 10. Valdez-Galloso, a registered sex offender with a criminal past, had been sought for questioning regarding the shooting. Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales confirmed Valdez-Galloso's arrest, stating that authorities are collaborating to charge him with the homicide. The NYPD and U.S. Marshals assisted in the arrest, initially made for failing to register as a sex offender. No evidence suggests El Taiger was tortured before his death, and no other suspects are being pursued.
