Florida Lottery Awards $2M Prizes to Two Players
The Florida Lottery has announced two significant scratch-off lottery wins, each yielding $2 million top prizes. Joan Gonzalez Tamarit, 26, from West Palm Beach, purchased a SILVER STREAK ticket for $10 and opted for a lump-sum payout of $1,195,000 after claiming his prize at Lottery Headquarters. Meanwhile, Lary Pincince, 65, from The Villages, won with the 100X CASHWORD Scratch-Off game and chose a lump-sum payment of $1.28 million. Both winners bought their tickets at Publix locations, which received $4,000 bonuses for selling the winning tickets. Scratch-off games are a vital part of the Florida Lottery’s offerings, making up about 74% of ticket sales and contributing significantly to educational funding in the state. Since its inception, the lottery has awarded over $65.5 billion in prizes and created more than 2,283 millionaires.
