City of Troy, trained by Aidan O'Brien, has been named the 5-2 morning-line favorite for the $7 million Breeders' Cup Classic at Del Mar, marking his debut on dirt after a successful career on grass. Breaking from the No. 3 post under jockey Ryan Moore, City of Troy aims to secure O'Brien's first victory in the Classic following two runner-up finishes. Fierceness, trained by Todd Pletcher, has been designated as the 3-1 second choice and will start from the No. 9 post. The Classic will feature a record 80 horses from five continents, showcasing the global nature of the event. O'Brien expressed confidence in City of Troy's preparation but noted that the race's outcome could depend on his start from the gates.
