McDonald's Australia Launches Exclusive 14-Character Squishmallows Happy Meal

McDonald's is once again including Squishmallows plush toys with their Happy Meals, featuring a variety of collectible characters including a new intergalactic axolotl named Halley. The promotion, which started in May 2025, offers a dozen different toys in the U.S. and 14 unique characters in Australia and New Zealand, where exclusive figures such as Avery the mallard duck and Theotto the Cthulhu monster are available. These Squishmallow toys come with character hang tags that share each toy's name and story, as well as game codes for interactive play. The collaboration has been met with enthusiasm due to Squishmallows' huge popularity and the brand's sale of over 400 million plush toys worldwide. McDonald's Australia highlighted that the campaign includes exclusive new expressions on beloved characters, aiming to appeal to both collectors and casual fans.
