Hyundai Announces Genesis LMDh Endurance Racing Program

Hyundai has officially announced its entry into endurance racing with a new LMDh prototype under its luxury Genesis brand, aiming to compete in both the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and IMSA championships. The announcement comes amid speculation regarding Hyundai's commitment to the World Rally Championship (WRC) beyond 2024. Hyundai's LMDh program, which is expected to debut in 2026, will be developed in partnership with French firm ORECA, known for building chassis for endurance racing. The initiative is part of Genesis's strategy to enhance its high-performance image and showcase advanced technology in a competitive environment.
