Alexandria Suspect Held Without Bond in Metro Attacks

Jeffrey Gary, a 35-year-old Fairfax County resident with no prior criminal history, was arrested by Alexandria police after two attempted abductions of women near Metro stations on May 30. The first incident occurred near Potomac Yard Metro station, where Gary allegedly assaulted a woman and her 4-year-old child, who both escaped. An hour later, he allegedly attacked a second woman near Braddock Road Metro station, who managed to fight him off and call 911. Both assaults were captured on security cameras, assisting in Gary's swift identification and arrest. Gary faces multiple charges, including assault and battery, sexual battery, and two counts of abduction with force, and is being held without bond.
