Chiefs Beat Commanders 28–7
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Washington Commanders 28–7 at Arrowhead Stadium, improving to 5–3 while Washington fell to 3–5. Patrick Mahomes threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns despite two early interceptions and surpassed 40,000 career passing yards, joining Peyton Manning in reaching that mark within nine seasons (including postseason). Travis Kelce caught a 10-yard touchdown to tie Priest Holmes' franchise record with his 83rd career touchdown, Kareem Hunt added a rushing score, and Rashee Rice had nine catches for 93 yards in his second game back from suspension. The teams were tied 7–7 at halftime, but Kansas City dominated the second half to pull away. Marcus Mariota started for the injured Jayden Daniels and finished with 213 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
