In Spokane, firefighters rescued a man and his dog trapped on a steep riverbank near Riverfront Park, using their Technical Rescue Team to bring them to safety with only minor injuries. South Florida crews saved a German shepherd from a canal and successfully located the dog's owners 200 miles away in Central Florida. In Shropshire, England, firefighters extracted a small dog from inside a culvert using a ladder.
