Russian drone attack in Ukraine

Ukrainian air defense systems successfully intercepted 14 out of 16 Shahed drones in a recent attack, while also facing missile strikes from Russian forces. Concurrently, Ukraine utilized U.S.-made bombs in a targeted strike against a Russian military site in the Kursk region. In a separate incident, Russian drone assaults in Sumy resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to another. Ukraine launched a significant drone attack on the Marinovka airfield in Volgograd, igniting a fire due to falling debris, as part of its broader strategy to disrupt Russian military logistics. Ukrainian forces have been actively countering Russian advances in the Kursk region, employing HIMARS systems and other U.S. weapons in their operations. Despite these aggressive engagements, Ukrainian air defenses continue to mitigate the impact of Russian strikes, achieving a high interception rate of incoming drones and missiles.
