Lenovo Shows Solar-Powered Yoga Laptop Concept

At the MWC 2025, Lenovo showcased its innovative Yoga Solar PC, a solar-powered laptop designed to reduce dependency on traditional power sources. This concept laptop integrates advanced solar panel technology, using 'Back Contact Cell' technology to achieve a high solar energy conversion rate of over 24%. The Yoga Solar PC can harness light from various sources, allowing it to charge even under low-light conditions, with 20 minutes of sunlight providing up to one hour of video playback. Weighing only 2.6 pounds and measuring 15mm thick, it challenges the convention of solar-powered devices being bulky and inefficient. Despite being a proof-of-concept, Lenovo's commitment to sustainability and efficiency could set a trend for future laptop designs. Although no commercial release is announced, the Yoga Solar PC exemplifies Lenovo's leading role in technological innovation.
