Air India Crash Survivor Discharged, 270 Dead

Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, the sole survivor of the Air India AI 171 crash on June 12, has been discharged from Ahmedabad Civil Hospital and attended the cremation of his brother Ajay, who perished in the accident. The crash claimed 270 lives, including passengers, crew, and civilians on the ground, after the plane crashed just minutes after takeoff from Ahmedabad en route to London. Vishwas, a British national from Diu, survived when his seat 11A was thrown to the ground floor of a nearby hostel, enabling his escape from the wreckage. Videos circulating online show Vishwas emerging from the crash site and later carrying his brother's remains for cremation. During his recovery, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah visited Vishwas. The tragedy has garnered national attention, highlighting the scale of loss and the extraordinary survival story.
