American Adds Sarasota-Miami Nonstop Amid SRQ Growth
American Airlines will begin a daily nonstop flight between Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) and Miami International Airport (MIA) on November 3, 2025, using a 76-seat Embraer 175 jet with first class, main cabin extra, and main cabin seating. The SRQ-to-MIA flight will depart at 6:30 a.m., with the return leaving Miami at 9:30 p.m. This marks American Airlines’ sixth nonstop route from SRQ and is intended to improve convenience and regional connectivity, including direct access to over 60 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean through Miami. The announcement comes as SRQ reports significant passenger growth and expands its facilities to meet increased demand. Airport and airline officials state that the new service strengthens SRQ's role as a regional hub and responds to high travel demand. Flight prices for the new route have not yet been announced.
