Mendes shared that her daughters showed no interest in her films, including a scene from 'Hitch' she was proud of for overcoming her fear of deep water. However, her voice role in the children's show 'Bluey' did catch their attention. Mendes has no immediate plans to return to acting unless an interesting role comes along, citing her career high working with Gosling in 'The Place Beyond the Pines.' She has since channeled her creativity into other ventures, including writing a children's book.
