The Esports World Cup 2025, set for July 7 to August 24 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will feature over 2,000 players from 200 clubs competing across 25 tournaments in 24 esports titles for a record-breaking $70 million prize pool. The event will include both established and new competitive games such as VALORANT, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, and Chess, marking the first time a traditional sport is included as an esports title. The tournament is organized into seven themed weeks, with major games like League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang anchoring the schedule alongside mid-season championships for Honor of Kings and Overwatch 2. Competitions will take place across four arenas and will see organizations vying for Club World Cup Championship points in addition to prize money. The event is operated by Savvy Games Group and funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, highlighting the country’s growing influence in global esports.
