Eagles Trade for CB Michael Carter II

The Philadelphia Eagles traded WR John Metchie III and a 2027 sixth-round pick to the New York Jets for CB Michael Carter II and a 2027 seventh-round pick. The move is aimed at bolstering Philadelphia’s nickel depth — Carter has played roughly 85% of his snaps in the slot and gives DC Vic Fangio flexibility to keep Cooper DeJean on the outside while shoring up corner play opposite Quinyon Mitchell.
