Two Men Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Pregnant Teen in Phoenix

Two separate fatal shootings occurred recently in Phoenix. In one incident, a woman was shot multiple times early Friday morning near 40th Street and Meadow Drive in north Phoenix and later died; police have a suspect in custody and are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting. In another case, 16-year-old Zariah Finley Dodd, who was 22 weeks pregnant, was found shot to death on July 5 in a Phoenix park; her unborn daughter also did not survive. Two men, including the unborn child’s father, Jurrell Davis, have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to Dodd’s death, with Davis also facing charges of sexual misconduct with a minor.
