Cathay Pacific Airways has canceled numerous flights and grounded its Airbus A350 fleet after discovering an engine component failure. The airline inspected all 48 of its A350 aircraft, identifying 15 planes with faulty Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines that need replacement parts. Singapore Airlines and Japan Airlines are among other major carriers inspecting their A350 fleets as a precaution. Cathay Pacific plans to resume normal operations by Saturday after completing repairs. Rolls-Royce confirmed its involvement and is working closely with Cathay, Airbus, and relevant authorities. The disruption has led to significant flight cancellations across Asia, affecting thousands of passengers.
