Wegmans, Uber Eats Expand East Coast Deliveries

Wegmans Food Markets has partnered with Uber Eats to expand its grocery delivery service across several East Coast states starting January 2025. Customers in Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. can order Wegmans products via the Uber Eats app, with service extending to Delaware, New York, and Pennsylvania in February. Uber One members benefit from free delivery and a 5% discount on orders over $35, while new customers receive up to 40% off on their first $60 order until February 5. This partnership aims to make grocery shopping more accessible, especially during busy times like winter months and game-day celebrations. Wegmans' offerings include fresh produce, prepared meals, and specialty items, enhancing convenience for customers. The collaboration is part of Uber Eats' strategy to diversify beyond restaurant deliveries, exemplified by their recent partnership with Home Depot for on-demand services.
