Mumbai Healthy Food Startup Khetika Raises $18M Series B for Expansion
Mumbai-based clean-label food startup Khetika has raised $18 million in a Series B funding round led by Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office and Anicut Capital, with participation from existing investors including Incofin India Progress Fund, Rajasthan Gum Pvt. Ltd., and Shree Ram India Gums Ltd. The funding consists of 70% primary capital and 30% secondary, providing partial exits to early investors like SIDBI Venture Capital, bringing Khetika's total funding to approximately $25 million. Founded in 2017, Khetika offers preservative-free food products such as batters, chutneys, millet-based staples, and spices, sourcing directly from farmers across 14 Indian states and operating four manufacturing facilities in India. The company plans to use the fresh capital for brand building, geographical expansion—including entry into international markets like Europe, the Middle East, and the US—product innovation, and scaling manufacturing capacity. Khetika's distribution spans modern retail, e-commerce, quick commerce platforms, and a proprietary B2B network supplying traditional kirana stores, which still generate about 75% of its revenue, although quick commerce channels are its fastest-growing segment. The startup aims for nearly 10x revenue growth over three years, leveraging rising consumer demand for health-focused, transparent food products and its tech-enabled supply chain.
