Basketball Standouts Earn 2025 Season Honors

Duncanville's Kayden 'Bugg' Edwards was named MVP of the 6A Division I state championship game, leading his team to a state title and finishing the season as the highest-scoring player in the Dallas area. Anna Campanelli, from Huntley High, achieved a perfect 18-0 conference record and a historic 35-game winning streak, earning the 2025 Northwest Herald Girls Basketball Player of the Year title. Vincas Buzelis of Hinsdale Central was named Suburban Life Player of the Year for his standout season. Indiana's basketball season underwent changes with Darian DeVries becoming head coach and Trey Galloway's recovery post-injury. Top sophomore Battie impressed for St. Mark's, while Beckham Black significantly contributed to Duncanville's championship win.
