PGA Tour Playoffs Cutoff Reduced to Top 70

The 2025 PGA Tour season has reduced the FedEx Cup Playoffs field to only the top 70 players, a change from the previous 125, intensifying competition at the Wyndham Championship for those on the bubble. Notable players including Adam Scott, Keith Mitchell, Chris Kirk, Gary Woodland, and Max Homa are currently outside the top 70 and must perform well to qualify. After the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the top 50 will earn entry into all eight signature events next season. The top 30 at the Tour Championship will receive a two-year exemption and automatic invitations to major tournaments.
