Olsen Open to Returning to Marvel
At the Hamptons International Film Festival, Elizabeth Olsen said she remains open to returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saying she has “unfinished business” as Wanda Maximoff. She praised the last five years of developing the character and said there are comic through-lines she'd like to explore, adding “these movies aren't for critics, these movies are for fans.” Olsen acknowledged superhero fatigue but emphasized the familial consistency and job security of franchise work. She reflected on joining the MCU nearly a decade ago — first appearing in 2016's Captain America: Civil War — and on her Emmy-nominated performance in WandaVision. Despite Wanda's death in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Olsen left open the possibility of returns via multiverse storytelling while promoting her new A24 rom-com Eternity and recent voice work on Marvel Zombies.
