Chargers Move to 5-3 with 37-10 Win
The Los Angeles Chargers beat the Minnesota Vikings 37-10 on Thursday Night Football at SoFi Stadium, improving to 5-3 and moving into second place in the AFC West. Justin Herbert threw three touchdown passes and finished with 227 yards while scrambling effectively under pressure. Los Angeles amassed 419 net yards with 11 plays of 15+ yards, fueled by young playmakers including rookie TE Oronde Gadsden II, rookie WR Ladd McConkey and Kimani Vidal, and received the return of left tackle Joe Alt despite injuries to key running backs. The Chargers' defense frequently pressured Minnesota and helped limit the Vikings' offense. The win included a milestone for Keenan Allen (11,000 receiving yards) and gives Los Angeles extra rest before a Week 9 trip to Tennessee.
