Emversity Secures $5 Million to Expand Across 75 Campuses

Emversity, a skill-based training platform founded by former Unacademy COO Vivek Sinha, has raised $5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Z47 and Lightspeed, with participation from Alteria Capital and Innoven Capital. The company, which operates under Beyond Odds Technologies, focuses on bridging the gap between higher education and workforce readiness in sectors such as healthcare, travel, and hospitality by integrating industry-driven training into degree programs. Emversity has rapidly expanded to 36 campuses across 18 Indian states and aims to reach over 75 campuses by the end of the financial year. The platform’s model includes employer-sponsored stipends, industry-aligned curricula, and centers of excellence to address capacity shortages, accessibility, and curriculum relevance. Recent partnerships with major hotel chains support its new hospitality training programs, in addition to its core healthcare offerings. The company also emphasizes enhancing job placement opportunities and international mobility for its graduates.
